What's a sparklebrain? Let's look at the reality. A sparklebrain could fill a filing cabinet with new ideas. They are problem solvers. Anything colorful, shiny, or cutting edge was likely developed by a sparklebrain. At 10 pm, I suddenly come up with a brilliant idea. I found a way to save my company money, was inspired by an idea to remodel my house, or thought of the next big iPad accessory. What's perhaps more unique about me is the fact that I will implement this idea until I decide it has been successful or should go no further. I will delegate and find the resources to make it happen. I am a starter and a finisher. ![]() | On Being Unique ![]() If you name your child something as unique as Allysse, you might as well hand her a slogan that says, "A different name, for a different game". Statistically, 90% of people either say it or spell it incorrectly. It's pronounced "uh-lease" - like you can't decide to plunge ahead with that car purchase. It could be worse. My father wanted to name me Xena, which would have gone well with the princess warrior TV show that aired later during my formative years. My claim to all things unique started at a young age. My interests included unicycling, playing the harp, and practicing my Oscar speech. Things haven't changed. I want to do everything, and there is little that I find I don't want to do again. | History of the Site Established in 1998, the site was originally set up because I thought
it would be trendy to have my own name as a domain name. Content was an afterthought. The original
site was peppered with pages of movie reviews and picture galleries, among other things. It was
a sophisticated little website. It changed over the years,
but the site took an entirely new look in 2011.
