Though one often hears that GPA/grades don't matter once you're a grad student, there is a limit to this... you are required by the Graduate Division in its Guide to Graduate Policy to maintain a 3.0 average in order to maintain good academic standing (unless ESPM has a higher requirement, which I don't believe it does).
