Most events on campus (including classes) with more than a few people start 10 minutes after the official listed time.  Warning: This is not always true!  Some professors will start classes on the hour as scheduled, and some speakers at special talks might start on time - so this is intended to let you know that if you show up on time and no one is there for the next 10 minutes (including the professor), you're not in the wrong place!
