This site is designed to help people who might be nervous about moving from Windows to Linux Ubuntu.

I was a dedicated Windows fan for over 20 years until Vista came along. I had reached the stage where my 3 year old lap top was slowing down. It needed replacing (or so I thought)....but the idea of having to learn a whole new operating system (Vista) and the associated problem was too much. I had read in a number of places about Ubuntu and as my hard drive needed replacing anyway (though when I switched to Ubuntu the problem with my hard drive cleared up!) I decided to give Ubuntu a try.

Now my 4 year old PC is fast and smooth....no excuse to buy a new PC...dammit!

I have been using Ubuntu for over a year now and have never looked back. I am now totally Windows free, virus checker free and firewall free.

Any suggestions you may have on improving this site, would be much appreciated.
