When the report is designed using Crystal Reports, the option "Output to Excel" option is dimmed. You can export the report to Excel using the option "Output to Screen".
1. From the print preview, click the "Export Report" button.
 2. Select "Excel 8.0 (XLS)" and "Disk File"
 3. Provide the File Name and Path, click "OK"
 4. Now the file can open by Excel.
