Welcome to JEH's File Emporium. This web page is designed to house programs that I create for the OS X operating System. It is my hope that you will find my programs useful and appreciate the work I put into them. The files on my site are free of charge and may be used by personal or business users alike.
About BchunkerFE
BchunkerFE, an OS X GUI for a command line utility called Binchunker. It is designed to work on OS X 10.5. Seperate Intel and PowerPC builds have been compiled so it should work on older versions as well. Binchunker is a program that converts Bin/Cue files to ISO images. I created this front End for Binchunker because it is the only free utility I could find. all other utilities, GUI and command line based cost money to use. BchunkerFE is a work in progress.

2/4/2009 I have begun work on a new project called, Other Renamer. It is a program that renames files in batch, for example, if you have multiple files and want to change the "a" in a filename, you can do a search and replace. Work on the interface has begun and I hope to start developing the underlying code soon. I will post pictures of the interface when I have some time. 10/3/2008 A new version of BchunkerFE has been released. This is a minor release, with an experimental BchunkerFE upgrade, downloader and installer, per user request.
9/28/2008 Posted a new screen shot of the upcoming .4.0.
8/31/2008 I have posted some screenshots to the left of the upcoming V .4.0 of BchunkerFE. I hope you like the some what new interface. 8/27/2008 I have begun working on the next iteration of BchunkerFE. It will have some new elements as well as some old ones. I'll post some screenshots when the interface has matured a little more. I have also discovered that one of the bugs I thought was fixed in V .3.6 is not. The remove button, queue entry popup box and switches are all not clickable. This is not due to a programming error and rather something funky with the programming language. When I have found a fix I will post another version in the 3.x series.
7/20/2008 BchunkerFE .3.4 has been released with new features and bug fixes. Enjoy!!
5/27/2008 While going over my program, updating it for the next release, I found a somewhat serious bug. The bug is not from my code, but rather a long standing bug in the programming language. You may or may not have seen it. The bug can occur when the settings window is open or not. The window will erratically change size, either making it too big or so small that you can not select the options. I have redesign that part of the interface and will be releasing a bug fix release soon. A few other bugs were also fix, for ex. the cancel button only canceled the current conversion and not the entire conversion process. 5/27/2008 I have found a new job so my time for coding has been significantly reduced. I have however finished Version .3.0 and posted it to the left. As always enjoy. 4/26/2008 The program itself appears to be bug free and working as I want it to. I will be posting the new version in the next few days when the documentation is complete. Unfortunately because of the design the documentation will be a bit larger than the previous versions. 4/24/2008 After a long look at BchunkerFE V .2.0 I have decided to scrap this version and rewrite much of the code from scratch. The basic design of the interface was not the direction I wanted to go. The batch queue system that was used in V .2.0 and lower was limited more than I liked. As a result I have been rewriting much of the code including the batch processing and redesigned the interface significantly. 90% of V .3.0 has been completed and I am currently squashing bugs. Screenshots will be posted as soon as I have more time. 4/20/2008 I have been working on a new version, V .2.0, with a redesigned interface and some new features. Some screenshots are posted to left if you are interested in the new interface. As you will see, it takes pieces from V .1.7, and adds some new ideas into the mix.
4/5/2008 A new version of BchunkerFE has been released, V.1.7. Here are the updates to the new version: Created new icon for BchunkerFE.
4/2/2008 Call to the community I am curious what platforms BchunkerFE works on other than Leopard (10.5). I would appreciate it if people with 10.2 -10.4, both PowerPC and Intel, would e-mail me at my address to the left and let me know if it works. As stated above I only have 10.5 and can not test it on other platforms. Your responses are greatly appreciated.
