The Body of Christ is truly amazing and God has shown us great favor as we finish final preparations for the trip. As you may know, Team EG 2009 has team members from all over the US, 4 of us are from the Sacramento area. A church called the House of God offered to give us an official "send off" today; and it was truly a blessing. The team was treated as special guests in the service, the church members made us traditional Kenyan food for lunch, a special offering was taken, we were given blessings from many church members, and the church prayed over us. The Holy Spirit moved greatly in the service. The amazing thing about this is that this church is not associated with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, they simply offered to bless us in this way as the "hand and feet" of the body of Christ that are going to Equatorial Guinea. I cannot tell you how blessed I am by this gift we were given. Pictures are below.
