What is ESA?

ESA International (Epsilon Sigma Alpha) is a leadership and service organization bringing good people together to pursue programs and projects that make a positive difference locally, nationally and internationally.

Since 1929, ESA members have used their network of more than 1,000 chapters to excel in community education, service and philanthropy. Their hands-on endeavors provide more than 650,000 direct service hours and over $10 million for charitable causes each year.

ESA's unique program provides each member with the training, education and support she needs to promote successful public service, while developing personal and professional skills in management, public relations and leadership.

ESA has long been known as an organization on the cutting edge. Always ahead of its time, it has blazed new trails in volunteerism.

Our Horizons

The most exciting part of ESA's history has yet to be written, of course. And right now, YOU have the opportunity to take the giant pen of time in hand to write even greater chapters in the ESA Story.

The horizons of ESA stretch before us, bright and seemingly endless. One of the most exciting aspects of ESA life is the wide scope of personal choice within the organization. Each individual chapter has the power to define its own horizons. Your chapter life, your activities, and your accomplishments can be as creative, as challenging, and as fascinating as you choose to make them. Your horizons depend upon the scope of your thoughts. How do you see your chapter? Just a small home-town group? Or as part of a vast network who can do anything they believe they can!

You yourself make your world of ESA. You can think beyond your present activities to try something new, different, perhaps more meaningful. You can look for the exciting thing to do - you can dip into the vast variety of opportunities for learning, growth, and achievement.

You can reach beyond your own world to share hope, encouragement, and faith with others. Many chapters already are doing this. But why not try a new slant, take a new approach to the joyous subject of philanthropy? In defining your horizons, remember that faith, hope, and love involve action in ESA.
