Delta Zeta History

The Delta Zeta chapter at The George Washington University was started by a small group of girls in 2003.

Seven friends: Julia Morris, Katie Santo, Cherice Teartre, Katie Curcio, Yvonne Underwood, Rachel Stephenson, and Ashleigh Walke decided to form a student organization focused on service.

The founders wanted a way to forge a bond of sisterhood through doing community service.

Since then, we have grown to a chapter of more than 70 girls who participate in community service projects throughout Washington, D.C.

In addition to our regular community service throughout the semester, we host a large philanthropy event each semester to raise money for St. Jude Children's Hospital.
