My name is Clay White and I am an Instructional Technology Specialist or ITS for short. I work for the El Paso Independent School District. Specifically, I am in charge of training teachers in the Bowie feeder pattern (Bowie Hs, Guillen MS, Aoy Elementary, Beall Elementary, Douglass Elementary, and Raymond Telles Academy). Recently, Armendariz MS was added to my route. My training involves the task of educating teachers on how to integrate technology into their classroom instruction. I train teachers to use the latest instructional technology to motivate students and improve their educational experience.

Google Earth Expands Instructional Opportunities!!
Many educators are familiar with the Google suite of internet tools. Gmail, Google Docs, Picasa, and so on. By far the most powerful educational tool created by Google is Google Earth. This amazing program enables teachers and students to explore the entire planet (as well as Mars) from their classrooms. Google Earth can provide teachers with a cross-curricular educational tool that can completely immerse students in an otherwise mundane lesson. Google Earth is free for everyone. Go to the Google Earth download center and install the program. If you need any help installing the program or implementing lessons, please contact me.
