Mr. Stephen Goss is currently the Director of Bands at Ephrata Middle School in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. In addition to his duties at Ephrata Middle School, Mr. Goss serves as the director for both the Ephrata Middle School and High School Percussion Ensembles. Outside of his duties in the Ephrata Area school district, Mr. Goss operates his own percussion studio, STG MUSIC, the studio covers all ages from beginners to advance players preparing for higher education in music. Many of the Mr. Goss's students have won awards, participate in county, district, regional and state band festivals as well as continue on to pursue music at the collegiate level. Mr. Goss is highly recommended in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. In addition to teaching he also works as a freelance performer with local orchestras, churches and other performing ensembles. Mr. Goss holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Masters in Music Performance from West Chester University in West Chester, PA, studying under Dr. Chris Hanning. Mr. Goss has been named in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in American Education multiple times. He holds professional memberships with the Percussive Arts Society, MENC: The National Association for Music Education, Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, and Lancaster-Lebanon Music Education Association. Mr. Goss lives in Strasburg, PA with his wife, Tanya and their three children; Ian, Hannah and Abigail.
