AREA OF EXPERTISE

Molecular, chemical and cell biology, biochemistry.

Experience in studies of membrane ion-transporting (Ca-ATPases, X,K-ATPases, H-transporting transhydrogenase) and nuclear proteins such as components of MYST1 histone acetylase complex and RASSF1-interacting proteins. Design and preparation of phosphorescent cell-permeable molecular probes and their application to study metabolic (dys)function. Molecular physiology of effects of low-O2 (hypoxia) on cancer and neuronal-like cell models.

EXPERIMENTAL SKILLS (short list):

Cell culture, subcellular fractionation using centrifugation techniques, immunoenzyme assays, molecular cloning and production of recombinant proteins in E. coli, chromatography, production of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies, protein-protein interactions, fluorescence microscopy, enzyme assays.
