Mercy Auxiliary Scholarship - $1200 scholarships open

St. Vincent DePaul Scholarship – (4) $1000
scholarships are offered to high school seniors based on financial need.
Students must have at least a 2.0 GPA and meet the income requirements. Parents

Attention Seniors!!!! The Alice Moore Scholarship is for SCHS students who are going to study a non-4 year degree, technical program after high school. This could be the RN program at SC4, a welding program, Vet Tech, cosmetology or some other career that doesn't require a four year degree.
As of right now, NO ONE has applied for this scholarship!!!!
We have extended the deadline to 8:00 AM on Wednesday 3.21. If you fit this criteria, please stop by the guidance office and pick up an application. Return it to the guidance office by 8:00 am Wednesday 3.21 morning to be considered for this scholarship!!! |

Kite Runner is a story about two boys, one who grows up with all the materialistic things and one without, one who has a father's love and acceptance and one who does not. It is a story of two boys who grow up together, friends, until society tells them they shouldn't be. It is a story about loyalty, betrayal, and forgiveness. It is a story about making choices... choices about who you are and how the choices you make foster the man you become. Taken out of context, Chapter 7 is questionable. In context, while still brutally disturbing, it serves a purpose. Hosseini is successful in writing about something that happens in a brutal world. If he does it well, his readers will be uncomfortable and want to turn away. If this is how you react, Hosseini has done his job. He has made you feel what both boys felt, the shame, the horror, the pain. He also gets his readers to an emotional presences where we can ask ourselves what would we do in each boy's place? |

open to seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and who are involved in volunteer
community service or work experience. Applicants must apply online at www.best-buy-communityrealations.com or

SC4 Board of Trustees Scholarship – $400 per year
scholarship available to seniors who will be attending SC4 full time in the fall
and have at least a 3.0 GPA. One student from SCHS will be chosen from the
applicants. Deadline is March 9, 2012.

If you did not turn in your Persuasive Essay before break, you will be hurting come end of the quarter... at this point, you are sitting on a zero... turn it in late and hope for some mercy... I strongly suggest you get all missing and late work turned in ASAP.
