Who is Haas?

Often the question is asked of me, who do you think you are Haas?!
Well, I guess this is as good a place as any to tell you just who I am.

It all started in Syracuse, NY, where my mother gave birth to her favorite child and my sister soon became an afterthought in the Haas household. After a few short months terrorizing the east coast, my family decided to move me a bit farther south to the great state of Texas. The exact location for my childhood, Lubbock, TX. Home of the one and only Buddy Holly Statue.
After many years of staring at dirt and being overwhelmed by the oppressive Texas heat, my family made a rather wise decision and decided that we would be better off in California.
Our destination was a fairly small city near the border of Orange County and Los Angeles County, La Habra, CA. Home to...well really not much. Seriously. I wanted to insert some sweet little picture here that would give you an idea of what La Habra is like. Hopped on the Google Images and it was sad. Real sad. Try it for yourself. http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&hl=en&q=la+habra&btnG=Search+Images

So, what good came out of La Habra?
A little lady I call "The ball and chain". We met while working at Pizza Hut and it was love at first sight or maybe second sight. I do tend to get easily distracted around copious amounts of cheese and Italian sausage.

In the midst of wooing my wife to be, I attended San Diego State University.
While at SDSU I majored in English with the intention of becoming a High School English Teacher. It seemed like a great idea at the time. Not that I'm complaining.

After marrying the sweetheart known in my house as "Bubba", we made the decision to bless the world with the presence of our seed, Hailey May Haas. To say this girl is adorable, is almost an insult. That's how far beyond adorable this little girl is. And I'm not just saying that because she looks exactly like her Daddy. To know her is to love her.

Here they are, My girls. The loves of my life.

She gets it from her Dada.

So that brings us back to me. I'm a pretty simple guy. I love my girls more than anything in this world.

But football does come in a close second.

I'm ready to admit it, I'm addicted. Weekends from late August to early February are consumed by one thing. Football is able to combine many of my favorite activities such as:
Sitting on the couch
Staring at the TV for hours on end
Laying on the couch
Checking my fantasy football teams while on the couch
and of course spending time with my family...even if they're in another room avoiding me.

I also tend to spend an inordinate number of hours watching baseball and only one team will do.
The Halos.

What else is there to know about me?

I collect weird action figures.

I have an odd fascination with Panda Dog.

I enjoy napping more than the average person.

I've never blown my nose.

I've always had a desire to be Cap'n Crunch, but unfortunately I get seasick.
