This past week at Encounter...
- Last Saturdays Garage Sale - awesome success well done to Briar & the team.
- Sundays Meetings - You can download the messages at www.encounter.org.nz
- Brent left for Zimbabwe on Monday. While he's away he will be meeting with the media and news regarding the big container that we are helping send to their City. Also he is ministering at a Conference held by Pastor Colin & Sarah and their Church Harvest House International.
- Tuesday Wires - did you know that each week mothers from all around the community come here for a play group?
- Operatunity was here on Tuesday too - Operatunity is a senior citizen's opera concert. They hire our venue every few months and the place is packed!
- Wednesday night cell groups were happening in homes all around Auckland
- Thursday night music practice at Encounter 3 different bands were practicing and preparing.
- Tonight we have Youth Church starting at 7pm.

ZIMBABWE NEEDS OUR HELP
Every day the situation in Zimbabwe gets worse, We have a chance to help a nation in their point of crisis. We are organising a container to go to them in Zimbabwe. For more information about this crisis and what we are doing to help go to the Global Page/
Each week will have a theme of something you could bring to send to Zimbabwe - if every family brought one item/packet then we would be making a difference.
Theme for this week is: Caned foods
Peaches, Apricots, Spaghetti, Baked Beans, Coconut Cream, Tomatoes, Re-fried Beans.
NOTE: There is a big box in the foyer that will fill a pallet for the container.
Thats our aim!

Watoto Children’s Choir will be featuring in our evening meeting on Sunday 7th September.
The children along with the adults accompanying them will be need to be billeted for the nights of Sunday 7th & Monday 8th.
We just need two more billets so if you are able to provide accommodation for 3 people, 2 children and I adult (all of the same gender) please see Scott Willson after the meetings on Sunday or by contacting him Tuesday to Friday on 820 8231 x118 or by email SWillson@encounter.org.nz

Can you garden, have handyman skills, own a truck, love to clean? Then we need your help for a working bee at the Church 9.00am – 1.00pm

Encounter Finances
There are eftpos forms and envelopes available at the desk. These can be picked up at the beginning of the service and filled in, ready for giving.
There are details of the Encounter bank accounts available for all who wish to pay by automatic payment.
You will be hearing more about the tax deductions for giving.
If you have any enquiries regarding finances, or would like to set up an automatic payment for your tithes, please email Barry .

Sunday Message CD Duplications: The Church has a new CD duplicator so if you would like any Sunday Message CD's just fill out the order form on the information table in the foyer. Otherwise you can get a free download off the Encounter Website.
