The Bling

I love, love, love my e-ring.  He did such a great job- all on his own.I love the wedding band too- I honestly didn't think I'd be so excited for the band, but I cannot wait to wear it! 

The Dress!

It took a while, but I finally decided on a dress!

The dress is a few sizes too big, thanks to Weight Watchers and the 30 Day Shred.  While I'm not "totally shredded" yet, I have made considerable progress in my weight loss goals.  YAY!

Accessories- Bouquet

My bouquet is my first key accessory!  The florist at the Marriott will be working with these ideas for me- I really like all the bright colors.

My sister will have a similar bouquet- but in muted colors.  I'm thinking more peaches and pinks.  I'm also getting mini-bouquets made up for my M, SM, and FMIL.

My Hanky Pankys for the day from my dear girls!	Gorgeous bracelet from White Aisle.com.  While it seemed to take a while to receive (made in Thailand), I absolutely adore it.	From Etsy seller Handwired- customized as a light ivory to match my bracelet.	Shoe pair number 1- for the beach!	Shoe pair number 2- for dancing and the rest of the evening!

Sentimental

One key accessory not shown- my grandmother's sapphire earrings- a gift from my grandfather.  My grandmother, who was like a second mother to me, passed away earlier this year (3 1/2 years after my grandfather passed).  They were married for over 60 years and a true source of inspiration for me.  My grandmother was so excited for us!  I think my biggest disappointment is not having my grandmother there with me.  My mom gave me my grandmother's earrings at my bridal shower as my something blue- this way, I can have "a part" of my grandparents with me. 

Hair

Given the heat in St. Thomas, and the fact that I will likely be sweating even more due to nerves, I'm planning on wearing my hair up.  Here are the first inspirations to me... followed by my "hair inspiration boards."  The first set of pictures are from Photobucket. 

Makeup

And my makeup ideas... I'd like neutral with a little pop! I definitely want my eyes to stand out- without being overly dramatic or ridiculous-looking.  These photos are also from Wedding Project.

MOH

My wonderful "little" sister will be my Maid of Honor (truthfully, my Matron of Honor, but she said that made her feel too old!  We ordered her Watters dress in "Foliage" from Netbride.com.  I can't say enough fabulous things about Netbride- they responded to all of my emails quickly, followed-up when the dress was ready, and were super prompt! It took about 6 weeks to get the dress.

Honorary Bridesmaids

My  fantastic girlfriends will be my '"Honorary Bridesmaids." Yep, I made that up.  The role will be similar to a traditional bridesmaid, but they will not have to buy a dress!  The real reason behind this is that, given our small DW, I thought it would be silly for 25% of our wedding guests to be standing up there with us.  This way, I can recognize these great girls and allow them to relax and enjoy the day.

Guys

His Ring

We were at Salomon Brothers for hours and most of the time was spent trying to pick out FI's ring.  He was so cute about it.  He finally decided on a 6.5mm hammered Platinum band with milgrain around the edges.  Very pretty (but I won't tell him that!) but also masculine.

The Suit

My FI and his brother (Best Man) will wear this suit from Joseph A. Banks.  It's their summer version, and called "Stay Cool," so I'm hoping they don't totally overheat in it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

While FI and FBIL will be the only ones wearing "outfits," we are getting all the guys (FI, FBIL, FFIL, my Dad and my StepDad) ties from Vineyard Vines to wear.
