Welcome to my website. Here you can find information
about my life as a postdoctoral researcher and about the things I do when I am not doing science.

My project is on the environmental significance of earthworm secreted calcite granules at the University of ReadingI will try to figure out if, and how we can apply the stable isotope chemistry of these carbonates as a proxy for past environmental variability. More about this in the Science section.

For my PhD (VU University Amsterdamand first postdoc (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, CALMARs project) I did similar work on freshwater and marine shellsMore information on these projects can be found in the Science section.

M
y Master's degree at Utrecht University focused on marine ecology and animal behaviour. More about my undergraduate studies you can find in the Education section.

In my spare time I like to sing in a
choir, go to the gym, read a good book or do amateur astronomy

When on holiday, I love to go SCUBA diving. More about my personal life and hobbies you can read in the Life section
