Effective leadership requires knowledge, ability, and dedication.  Knowledge is attained through study, research, and participation in activities that promote growth and development.  Ability is gained through practice and experience.  Dedication is proven through compassion and by recognizing the need for what you are doing.  Teachers who actively seek out professional development opportunities are strengthening their leadership skills.  It is imperative that educators stay abreast of the latest educational research.  Learning is a dynamic process, and as society evolves so must educational practices.  We are teaching the future world leaders.  In order for us to be fitting examples we must be who we want them to become.
