It took several months of hard work but we’re finally there. Bits and pieces are still coming in, but I can say that the grand total is at least £3,850! Emitos, whose mission is to empower and educate girls aged 12-20 years through football, will use the money to fully equip the club, take part in tournaments and continue its reproductive health and HIV/AIDs educational programme and counseling. The first installment of the money was sent earlier this year, and the final amount will enable Emitos to fully achieve its plans. You can see a list of how the money is being spent here: http://charitygiving.co.uk/emitos To read more go here ****************************************** "We are so grateful for the donations. We were able to get new uniforms, boots, tracksuits and training kits. Our training sessions are much more interesting and this has encouraged us to train harder, besides, I have learnt to appreciate the needs of others; love, share and sacrifice. I was inspired by the way the Central London Humanists chose to sacrifice what they had to support Emitos." NAKAYIWA SARAH WELFARE MINISTER EMITOS FC. Instead of getting bad friends or being redundant, I attend Emitos activities. This has kept me safe from HIV and unwanted pregnancy. Emitos made me realize that I am capable of doing things that are done by boys and therefore, boys are not superior. I can compete with them in all aspects.
