In
the fall of 2005 the eMINTS National Center began a collaboration with
the state of Maine to realize the goal of transforming teaching using
inquiry-based methods and strategies powered by technology. eMINTS is
working in partnership with the Maine Learning Technology Initiative to
bring eMINTS professional development services to the state of Maine. 50
teachers across the state began working with 9 trainer/mentors to
bring inquiry-based lessons into their technology-rich classrooms. Many of these teachers are now certified eMINTS Teachers. The current year brings many new schools into eligibility within the region, which now encompasses 19 school districts in Central Maine. Click here for a list of eligible schools in Region 4. These schools will be working with the Regional Mentor for 32 hours of custom professional development that is geared towards district and/or school level goals. |
