ERM workshop a success

Michael McShane, Rani Kady, and others have successfully conducted a workshop on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) at Old Dominion University with more than forty participants. The event was capped by a tour of the facilities at the Virginia Modeling Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) and demonstrations of their state-of-the-art projects.

ERI grant proposal funded

ERI researchers Ariel Pinto and Rani Kady obtained funding to organize and hold a symposium and workshop on how Simulation and Modeling can be applied to managing Emergent Risk. More details will follow soon. [posted 01 March 2010]

Current Research

Dependency Network Analysis of Complex Systems: An Application to Salt Processing in Ghana - This research proposes the investigation of Functional Dependency Network Analysis (FDNA) for modeling risks resulting from dependencies among elements of complex systems with application to salt processing enterprise in Ghana.
Post-Project Risk Perception and Systems Management Reaction -
The main purpose of this research proposal is to investigate how risk initiating events during the project lifecycle could be transferred to the system after the project is completed and integrated into the system
