About me

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia, Greece. Prior to my current position, I served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University College London. I earned my Ph.D from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Democritus University of Thrace in Greece.

My research focuses on various areas, including Software-Defined Networks, Network Function Virtualization, Mobile Edge/Fog Computing, and Internet of Things. Additionally, I possess extensive experience as a software engineer, having worked with diverse computer environments such as Linux, Unix, and Windows. From May to October of 2005, I worked as a software engineer at DoCoMo Eurolabs in Munich.

Throughout my career, I have actively contributed to several international research projects, including NECOS (H2020), UniverSELF (FP7), Ambient Networks (FP6), Extending Internet into Space (European Space Agency), COST290, and Autonomic Internet (FP7), among others.
