Cloth Diaper Care Instructions

General Care & Washing Instructions

Before you start to use your cloth diaper, please PRE-WASH it...
Brand new cloth diapers must be washed out before these products will reach their normal absorbency. Soak it in warm water, then wash with a little bit of detergent (cloth diaper don't need too much detergent). Rinse as usual. You can either hand wash or machine wash it. We recommended that you put the cloth diaper in a laundry bag before dump it in the washing machine. Please do not use any BLEACH, SOFTENERS & ENZYMES .
Please do not use any diaper cream on baby as it contains chemicals which are bad for cloth diapers.

How to wash soiled cloth diaper?
Remove insert from the pocket before washing. Just put it in a laundry bag and dump it in the washing machine to wash with other clothes. If you hand wash it, please rinse well to ensure the detergent is rinse out. Dry your diaper outside in the hot sun. The sun will bleach any stains naturally.

When to Change

Diapers should be changed when they become soiled or wet. 3-4 hours are the recommended time a child should be left in a diaper.
During naptime and night time, you can use 2 inserts to absord baby's wetness for longer hours. It will help prevent urine leakage from the diaper.

Recommended Detergents
Basically, nothing with bleach, whiteners or enzymes. If you're using regular detergent, get the cheaper ones as cheap detergents do not contain any thing special like whiteners and optical brighteners, etc.

To remove build-ups and notorious smell from your cloth diapers, perform strip washing when needed
Build up refers to residue left by detergents, fabric softeners and other substances used to clean diapers. It may cause your diaper to be not performing as well as it used to be, leakage problem and non absorbent. To perform strip washing, follow the instructions below:

1 Fill a pail with warm water.
2. Add in some dish washing liquid.
3. Hand wash your diapers, rubbing it vigorously or use a medium bristle dish brush to scrub the fleece.
4. Turn it inside out and repeat on this side.
5. Rinse well, making sure the water runs clear, free of detergent.
6. Either toss to machine wash or hand wash it without detergent.
7. Line to dry in hot sun.
