Our next clip is a promo for NBC's "The Office" which won 1st place in a national contest
on youtube.com.The clip was featured on the show's website,
and aired twice during episodes of the show on NBC. The submission also appears on the 3rd Season DVD for the show. This short was filmed in
downtown Minneapolis and stars Craig Diviney. Diviney Pictures provided
the writing, shooting, and editing for the project.
Brian Roussell stars in this second promo for "The Office." Diviney pictures offered conceptual ideas, filming, and editing for the short, which was shot in Plymouth MN. The clip was considered as a finalist for the contest in August 2006.
Here is our last submission for the office contest starring Matt Tobin as a removed video editor. Diviney Picutres provided the screenplay, shooting, set design, editing, and even a supporting acting role. The short was filmed in the Diviney Pictures office in Plymouth, MN. Perhaps overlooked by NBC because of the usage of a solitary swear word.
Here is our submission for the "Heinz Top This TV Challenge." The assignment was to create a 30 second commercial for Heinz Ketchup. The grand prize winner received prize money estimated at $57,000. The short stars Matt Tobin and the voice of Melissa Swenson. Diviney Pictures spearheaded the writing, directing, lighting, still photography, special effects, camera work, editing, color correcting, and music. Enjoy.
This a short film entitled "A Minor Misunderstanding," was submitted for the contest to become a cast member on Spielberg's new reality series, "The Lot." We filmed in Cedar Rapids, IA in February of 2007. I rented the Canon XL-H1 and shot the project in full 1080 resolution with true 24-fps recording. The movie stars Kyle Votroubek and Luke Meyer as federal agents, and Leeland Votroubek, Lance Votroubek, Nathan Votroubek, and Elliot Diviney as henchman and evil-doers. My apologies for the slight sync problem. Enjoy!
Here is a streaming video of the first student film Diviney Pictures produced at the University of Iowa, "Periaquaductal Grey." The movie was shot on 16mm black & white reversal with an Arriflex camera, and edited using the school's film rewinds. All sound was recorded during post production. Elliot was responsible for writing, directing, producing, photography, storyboards, rehearsals, costumes, editing, music, and post-production sound. The film was shot in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City in April of 2004, and stars Luke Meyer and Devon Waite. Enjoy.
"Periaquaductal Grey: Formula 13" (aka PG-13) was produced as a final project for 'Advanced 16mm Film Production' at the University of Iowa in the fall of 2004. This project was shot with an Arriflex sync-sound 16mm camera in Cedar Rapids Iowa using color negative stock. Diviney Pictures was responsible for writing, directing, photography, sound, editing, music, and conforming. This sequel reunites actors Devon Waite and Luke Meyer.
This clip is a slideshow, put together for the wedding of Jennifer Dondanville, and Diviney Pictures regular, Brian Roussell. The wedding took place on September 28th, 2007, in Red Wing, MN.
Our final clip is a music video for Midwest Connection's "Farewell for Now." The video was filmed in Plymouth, MN over several nights in a garage on 30th Pl. N. It stars Lisa and Elliot Diviney. It was edited on Final Cut Pro and submitted for youtube's underground music contest. Diviney pictures offered visualization, photography, and editing services.
