Central Otago is a spectacular region, halfway between the Equator and the South Pole. Its rugged beauty, generous people and outstanding grape growing environment drew us to live here. This synergy and vitality inspire us to grow excellent wines. We produce Pinot Noir from our organically managed vineyard, Pisa Terrace, Gewürztraminer from a local vineyard with 20+ year old vines, and Riesling from the steepest slopes of our vineyard in Central Otago, New Zealand. Ellero is a combination of our two family names, Manell and Montero. Our wines are personal expressions, products of our unique and dynamic environment here in Central Otago, where the forces of nature come together with strength and purity. |
