New Pumper Arrives

EFD is proud to announce the receipt of a new pumper truck that will provide more capabilities for the department to react to hazards and needs within the community.  Some of the unique features in this vehicle are a 5 man cab which allows a full team to arrive on scene in one truck fully equipped to serve.  

EFD Members Working on Credentials

The EFD members are working hard to obtain new credentials that will make them better firefighters and better protect the community.  Members are studying and practicing to complete Fire Fighter I credentials.  This encompasses a great deal of studying, practice, a written test, and final hands on assessment.

Auto Accidents Up in 2009

2009 was a year filled with many auto incidents for Ellendale Fire.  The high number of incidents has surprised the members of the department.  In response EFD has worked hard to improve our response and training for auto incidents.

We want to encourage everyone to be careful on the roads, buckle up, and take extra care.
