Jon and Elizabeth August 15, 2009 About Us  Jon and I lived just several T-stops away from each other in Boston - Jon working in professional basketball, and I attending my first year of law school at Boston University. We first met at a bar downtown. Jon asked me to go out with him several nights later and our first dinner together lasted six hours! We have been together ever since, and knew within weeks that we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives. We are planning our wedding for August 15, 2009, which is just two weeks after I take the Bar Exam. My goal is to get all of the planning done early so I can focus on studying! The Proposal   Although we had begun planning our wedding in the winter of 2008, Jon had his heart set on proposing outdoors in the summer. He asked me to marry him next to the pond in the Boston Public Gardens while on a walk before dinner at our favorite restaurant, Sonsie. The ring is breathtakingly beautiful (the photo really does it no justice), and is exactly what I would have chosen for myself. It was hard to wait until the summer, but it was of course worth it. We are SO excited to be officially engaged (even if we had half of the wedding planned prior to the actual proposal.) Thanks for looking, Ladies!
