HERE ARE 10 WAYS TO HELP YOUR STUDENT WITH HOMEWORK:
1. Let your student know that homework is important and valuable.
2, Set a regular time each day for homework. Allow some time to unwind after school before getting started.
3. Make sure your student has everything he/she needs before beginning.
4.Help him/her be organized by providing an assignment notebook, and making sure that it is used.
5. Have a quiet, well-lit place to study, with a comfortable chair; a place for studying only.
6. Discourage distractions during homework time. (phone calls, texting, TV, etc)
7. Be available to answer questions or quiz your child, be keep homework as his/her responsibility, not yours.
8. Look over assignment to be sure it is done completely, but don't correct unless the teacher has asked you to.
9. Go over returned assignments with your student.
