For flowers, we are using Local Color Floral Design, based in Kittery, Maine. Kristin, the owner of the business, is an organic farmer and cares greatly about sustainability. When I heard about her, I knew her philosophy would really resonate with my fiance James. We met with her and both loved her. She didn't try to upsell us at all, but rather came up with ideas to fit within our budget. And having seen her arrangements, we are happy to just give her our wedding colors and set her loose, knowing she will create something beautiful. We're so excited that she will be arranging our wedding flowers. We're planning to mainly just use personal flowers: bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and a flower girl pomander. My bouquet inspiration  I will be carrying a bouquet of white calla lilies. If I can find the snazzy floral pins that they used in this bouquet, I will use them too! I love the contrast. Bridesmaid bouquet inspiration  I just want something simple and pink for the bridesmaids, to coordinate with their brown/green dress and the overall brown/pink and brown/green theme. ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Flower girl pomander inspiration The flower girls will each carry a pomander, since the church prohibits the actual distribution of petals! Groomsmen boutonniere inspiration: HOPS!  Kristin told us that hops are locally grown, in-season, and look great as bouts. The guys are pumped that they get to wear their beverage! :) |
