Our wedding bio‎ > ‎

Attire

The wedding details will be in brown and green, and brown and pink.  These details carry through to the wedding party's attire and the flowers they will be wearing or carrying.

Bridesmaids' dresses

My bridesmaids will be wearing this Watters WTOO style 416 dress in mojito with a mocha colored ribbon.  Here is my bridesmaid Julie modeling it!  We purchased these through Anita at Bridal Reflections in Watertown, MA.  And I found the most gorgeous matching necklaces and earrings through etsy seller madebysam, which I will be giving the girls at the rehearsal dinner.

Flower girl dresses

Here is my niece modeling the flower girl dress (Cinderella brand).  We will have three flower girls: all of our nieces, all between ages 2 and 3!  We found two of these at Marshalls and bought the third off ebay (seller: misssally_123).

Ring Bearer Attire

The ring bearers (our nephews, ages 4 and 5) will be wearing these chocolate brown Gino Giovanni tuxes with a pink tie to coordinate with the flower girls. We bought these on ebay (seller: fairytailes).

Groom's and Groomsmen's Attire

The guys will be in Calvin Klein chocolate brown tuxes, rented from Waldorf Tuxedo in Wakefield, RI.  James tried it on and he looked so handsome in it (model on the left, James on the right!).  We're considering having him wear an ivory vest and tie, to differentiate him from the groomsmen.  But I don't know - the brown looks so good on him!

My wedding dress

I bought my dress at Running of the Brides in Boston in February 2009.  It is an Anne Barge La Fleur dress, and after at least 10 people at the sale told me that it was "the one," I finally convinced my risk-averse self to brave the no-return policy and buy it.  I'm so glad I did.  I could never have afforded a gown this beautiful otherwise!  The picture on the left is the official runway photo of it.  The pictures below are of me in it.  It is a true champagne color, although the color doesn't appear as vividly in these pictures. Perhaps it is the fluorescent lighting!

Here is me in the dress two days before the wedding in less harsh lighting:

... and my wedding shoes!

After much debate and several purchases from Zappos and Endless, I have settled on these champagne Sizzle by Coloriffics Biscayne pumps.  I think they're just lovely and will complement my champagne gown very well.  I love the jewels on the peep toe!
