The Elgin County Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society is a branch of a non-profit organization of people who share interest in genealogy and family history. The Branch was first organized in March 1982. There are about 250 members. Any person or institution interested in supporting the branch is welcome to apply for membership.

The Elgin OGS Branch Library - The branch library is located in the George Thorman Room of the St. Thomas Public Library and accessible for research during the open hours of the public library.
