The very first litter of Clandestino!

 

Our first litter but also the first from the parents:    

                                                    Enigma, 17 months at kittens's birth         Delux, 28 months at kittens's birth  

 

The pregnancy took place without any trouble with a resplendent Enigma.

Matings took place on the 7th and 8th of June 2010 (during 27 hours in fact). Delux stopped himself because of his Minister schedule (tan, cuddly, nap, tasting kibbles, a little more taning) and finally he mated again on the 10th of June ! I like to think that he added our little Fauzya, first born and lightweight!

Nipples began to turn pink at 18 days.

Loss of mucus plug on July, 16th (on my shirt, you never know, I might miss it!)

Pregnancy scan and radio at 53 days: 6 kittens in good health (I imagined that there was no room for more than 3 kittens!).

Weigth gain in 64 days: 1300g

Enigma gave us a dreamed birth! Great for a first expérience J

And two boys: Fantomas (72g) and Frosties (88g).

We had a few surprises with the type.

Delux's nudity did not particulary emerg on the kittens.

The width and height of  the ears are very heterogeneous. However, ears position is good for all the kittens.

All kittens have like Delux, not enought rounded ears (while Enigma has well rounded ears... genetics!).

Muzzles are rather successfull, beautiful lips and pinch. All the kittens have Enigma's wide chin and throughout Delux's thickness of chin but not perfectly aligned with the nose. 

Eyes are beautiful.

Most of kittens should have heads a little shorter even if they are in the standard. A surprise to see that 3 kittens have a little deep between the nose and the forehead ("stop" or "break") given Delux stop is very very light and Enigma waited a long time before to have a stop. All hopes for the others kittens ahah!

Some heads are as thick as we like them to be, some are a little tiny.

All kittens seem to have a long tail while Delux's tail is a bit short.

Bodies are not especially muscular or stocky but not slender either. Frosties only stands out with a body with all muscle, very strong.

The kittens have nice wrinkles and have wonderful skin, very soft which give not much oil.

The red and blue dots that you can see on the first pictures are nontoxic pens, in order to identify the kittens as they are born all pink.

Name: Clandestino Fauzya

First scan planned: autumn 2012.

It's our little baby who weighs 59g at birth. She did not stay small very long since she spent her days glued to her mother's nipples, pushing her brothers and sisters, even the bigger ones! It earned her the name Fourchette during the first weeks (Fourchette means fork).

She was very calm when she was young (probably a very full belly :-P) and very close to us. We heard her from afar when it was time for cuddles, it is not a desire but a need! 

She plays like a little crazy cat and likes to walk her toy "Cat Dancer" (like her mother Enigma!).

The first Clandestino remained in on our region which allows us to see her little love face of love from time to time. She sleeps in Maud & Kenny's bed and shares her bowl with Daï Kha, a sphynxette too J.
