By preforming a podcast, students are opening more ways to illuminate a text. A podcast gives attention to the way language is used, as well as the feeling behind the words. Like a hyperlink, a podcast draws the creator in to better understand a text. With a podcast the creator conveys their interpretation of a text by reading it in their voice and putting whatever music they feel suits the scene. By adding sound effects, the creator almost narrates a listener through the text; for example, if the text mentions a breaking heart the creator can include a glass shattering noise to show the breaking of a heart. Podcast are something that students will enjoy because they get to show off their creative sides; and may i mention that this is addicting.
