PEAR PARK PILOTS

Pear Park Pilots is an Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) chartered # 5045, not for profit club, dedicated to the radio controlled model aircraft hobby and is open to anyone interested in model aviation.  We are a recreational, community oriented, radio controlled aircraft flying club that provides members and visiting AMA registered individuals with a local, secure radio controlled flying site.  Our current membership includes residents throughout Lake County and surrounding communities.  The club originally flew from P.E.A.R. Park but has since moved to a better site at the Eagles Club in Okahumpka that is reserved for club use.  We fly electric powered aircraft/rotorcraft almost any day, weather permitting.  We also fly at the at the Highland Lakes Arena on Saturday mornings from 10am to noon and the Royal Highlands Great Hall on Sundays from 9am-11am, using smaller indoor airplanes, helicopters and quad copters.  We invite visitors to come and learn about the hobby and our members are happy to assist new flyers.  The club meets the second Saturday of the month (September to May) at 9 am in the Rec Center meeting room.  We provide refreshments, instruction and fun events.  Club dues are $30/year.  AMA (modelaircraft.org) membership is required to fly at the Eagles field.  Contact harveyh@ileeta.org.   View a Youtube video of some of the aircraft flown by the club.   Membership application for Pear Park Pilots.
