Welcome to the PEAR Park Pilots model aircraft club, established in October 2007, for the purpose of sharing the enjoyment of building and flying radio-controlled (R/C) model airplanes and helicopters. We offer beginners our assistance in learning the basics of R/C flight and welcome the knowledge experienced modelers bring to our club.

Club membership is open to everyone interested in model aircraft. We meet at the Royal Highlands recreation center, at 10:00 AM, on the second Saturday of each month and fly at PEAR Park on Wednesday and Friday mornings beginning at 8:00. We have permission from Lake County Parks Administration to fly electric-powered airplanes and helicopters in the vicinity of the softball fields.  We also fly indoors at the Highland Lakes Arena on Saturday mornings beginning at 10:00 and at the Royal Highlands Great Hall on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:00.

Club members enjoy carpooling to hobby shops, trips to fly-ins and model aircraft shows, and participating in hands-on workshops. We invite you to join us, whether new to radio-controlled aircraft or experienced modeler.

An application form to join the club can be downloaded and printed here.
