Why am I running in ward 6? The perfectly smart and informed voter of ward 6 (and the rest of the city) will vote for the candidate whose platform they like best and they trust and that may, or, may not be a resident of the ward. I will always be accessible, I will be honest with you and if I don't know something I'll surely find out and then I get back to you: without any prejudice. But, about why I am running in ward 6 then: I used to live in ward 6 then the wards were rebounded (which happens from time to time) and I had already decided to run before that happened; whether the incumbent was to run, or, not. Considering how fast Kitchener is growing it is not impossible this will happen again and people will find themselves all of a sudden in different wards. The same thing goes for the incumbent. Vote your conscience and not be bounded by a quirk of geography, politics style. | Why am I running? History is full of examples why politics should not be taken for granted. Even recent history shows runaway events take away a better world for us and our children and things have been changing for the worse for many years. I have lived in Kitchener for the better part of 22 years. I became progressively more involved in politics since 1992 because it is my opinion politicians should always be stingy with other people's money and keep things simple. Most people don't want to be involved in politics, or, run for office and I understand that. Even so, there is no substitute for being elected to office. That is the only way to make sure of being heard loud and clear which means making sure the interests of my constituents get heard! The alternative is more of the same: treading water. Sometimes politics means having to take a new approach if the current one is arguably the obstacle. I believe in an ounce of prevention and so I also believe that people can make a difference by voting to take care of problems now and not down the road when they may be hopeless. That way everybody gets the best of both worlds! Vote for me so I can work and vote for you!
