Elaine
Hansard is a local artist from Bozeman Montana. At a very early age
Elaine sketched, painted and carved for fun. Elaine began sculpting
while attending her Bozeman High School art class. Elaine worked with
Dave Lemon, a prominent local artist from Ennis Montana; where she
learned many special techniques for this craft.
At the age of 18, she joined the team at Northwest Art Casting and cast
her first bronze, "Wait'n on a Friend" inspired by her favorite horse
Dan.
Elaine has an apt B. attention to detail. Each subject is studied to the
fullest extent before she begins the placement of bone, muscle and
tissue. She carefully builds up each piece assuring the quality of
realism and posture, striving to capture a moment frozen in time.
