We specialise in collecting, analysing and distributing leadership 'tacit knowledge' (accumulated through successful leadership) to individuals and collectives. This leadership knowledge impacts on organisational and national performance.
We research how leveraging from creativity creates the most lasting impact in each organisation we work with. Once this is determined, we work with the organisation to apply this knowledge to increase its sustainable performance.
EGL researchers head a range of applied research projects funded by private industry (DairyNZ, Beca Engineering, see our portfolio for more details), NGOs (e.g the Royal Society of New Zealand, AsiaNZ Foundation), the New Zealand Government (e.g New Zealand Trade and Enterprise) and the French Government. Since 2006, egl has been the research arm of Microsoft New Zealand, Partners in Learning Programme run in partnership with the New Zealand Ministry of Education.
It is this grounding in applied research that differentiates us from other organisations who specialise either in training or consulting. We use proprietary 'action research' methodologies that produce knowledge directly applicable by organisational members. We have proven experience in quantitative and qualitative research, some of which we designed, tested and implemented in unique conditions. We pioneer novel narrative and audio-visual methodologies to gather, analyse and disseminate research findings.
Some non-commercially sensitive outputs of these projects will be made available through the re-design of our website.
