| I am a phonetician specialising in the phonetics of Greek (especially Cypriot Greek of which I am a native speaker) and the phonetics of various connected speech processes (CSPs) such as coarticulation, lenition, etc. My MPhil and PhD explored the distinction between categorical and gradient CSPs, using articulatory, acoustic, and perceptual methods. I have also worked on the phonetics of child and disordered speech. However, I am interested in all things phonetic, as evidenced by my more recent work.
I have been involved in post-doctoral research at the University of Newcastle - investigating the acoustics of dysarthric speech, and the University of York - investigating the emergence of phonological structure in child speech.
From January 2010 I will be a post-doctoral researcher at Royal Holloway, University of London.
