Throughout time women have struggled to gain the same freedoms as men have taken for granted. The armed forces are a prime example of this, they just aren't set up for women the same way as they are for men because of their physical differences.

      The 1950s were when women really became involved in the military. They were allowed because of the rapidly decreasing interest in war.
