I had an old broken LCD monitor gathering dust in my closet, so I decided to open it up and see if I could fix it. I found the problem (loose flex cables) and got it working. Since I had a newer monitor, I planned to recycle the monitor as a wall-mounted display/picture viewer. To make it even more versatile, I just left it with a VGA/DVI cable coming out the back so I can attach it to a PC for watching movies and TV (via Pinnacle USB tuner) when not using it to display photos.
