How will you vote on October 18, 2010?
ERC does not endorse individual candidates. We do, however, believe that it is critical for community members to educate themselves about their local candidates and to ensure that inclusion is an important issue in their conversations with candidates. Make your voice, and your vote, count.
We encourage everyone to become involved in their local School Board elections this fall. Which candidate best reflects your values when it comes to inclusive education?
We'll try to upload completed questionnaires for your information. If you have any completed questionnaires to share please contact us by email to arrange sharing on this site.
Have we missed important information? Please let us know by email if you have additional information about regional school district elections.

Not all questionnaires were fully accessible at the time of this posting, but at least one survey (Edmonton Public Teachers Local 37) contains a question about inclusive education. Video segments with all EPS candidates are accessible on this site. There is also information about some community-based forums. Edmonton Catholic School District website http://www.ecsd.net/trustees/election.html has candidate contact information and video segments. According to a City of Edmonton ad in the Edmonton Journal, "In lieu of School Board Trustee candidate forums, voters can view taped interviews with all Public and Catholic Separate School District candidates on the school board websites at www.epsb.ca, www.ecsd.net, or through www.edmonton.ca/election". Candidate responses to ERC's "Trustee Questionnaire". What do the candidates in your riding have to say? The questionnaire was sent by email to all Edmonton Public, Edmonton Catholic, St. Albert Catholic, St. Albert Protestant, and Elk Island Public candidates who had provided email contact information. In addition, in districts where email info was available for most candidates, attempts were made to gather it by phone for all candidates. Email contact information couldn't be found for Black Gold or Elk Island Catholic candidates. Edmonton Public: Ward A: Koopmans, Rory J.
