- The Lodges above that have an attached * can be phoned for free using Google's 411 service. Simply dial 1-800-4664-411 then speak the city and state (or Canadian province) followed by "Sons of Norway." In some cases (Leif Erikson) you need to say the lodge name instead of "Sons of Norway." You will then be connected for FREE!
- Many of our Lodges in AK, ID, OR, and WA do not have WEB sites, but you can reach most of them through the Google phone service by saying the city name and state followed by "Sons of Norway," or "American Legion," or "PUD," or "Senior Center," or whatever church or hall where they are shown to meet This even works for Kodiak-Alaska-"Sons of Norway." One of the easiest ways for a Lodge to initiate a WEB "presence" is to publish a free (Google calendar, i.e., open a http://gmail.com/ account) calendar and get listed in the above names table.
- On the "Lodges" page of the International Sons of Norway WEB site, this is the WEB page for all of District 2 and clicking on any of the "Officers & Financial Counselors" buttons will give you more contact information in case you have questions about events or activities at a Lodge. Alternatively, you can select a "state" and view all of the Lodges in that state. Different Lodge information is available on the International (with more contact info) versus the District 2 WEB sites.

Norwegian Constitution Day or "grunnlovsdag," commonly known as "Syttende Mai" or the 17th of May is a celebration of the day in 1814 when Norway's constitution was signed in the town of Eidsvoll, Norway. The Norwegian constitution was inspired by the United States Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the French revolution in 1789 and the subsequent U.S. and French constitutions, and is considered one of the most radically democratic constitutions in the world at that time.
