A benefit of Sons of Norway membership is access to the all season day use and overnight meetings and activities held at District 2's Trollhaugen Lodge (about 10 miles east of Snoqualmie pass) in the beautiful Cascade Mountains of Washington, located on this THIS MAP {click on the map's blue arrow/dot for extra information}, with customized driving directions available. Driving directions from Seattle and from Spokane. Click on any of the large or small pictures shown in this Trollhaugen regional map for some idea of the nearby lakes, trails, and other scenic features.

If some prospective members are skiers, don’t forget to introduce them to Trollhaugen. There is  weekend and mid week skiing and good grooming of the tracks again at Trollhaugen, Cabin Creek, and the Iron Horse Trail. Of course, summer usage is also wonderful. Summertime Sons of Norway District 2 Youth Camps are great, and scholarships are available.

Any member of Sons of Norway District 2-or GL Daughters of Norway (and many other Scandinavian groups), who has NEVER been a member of the Nordic Heritage Museum, gets a free one year membership. You just need to tell them which lodge you belong to. If you live in the Seattle area or plan to visit, it is worthwhile to take advantage of this generous offer! This offer is made to the Nordic Council, a group representing most of the Scandinavian organizations in the Seattle area.

We invite you to become a Sons of Norway member. Here is some general information about Sons of Norway membership. And more details and benefits about being a Sons of Norway member. -

It is easy to become a Sons of Norway member:-

    a) Join On-Line for (individual, spouse, or young adult) new members or rejoining old members

    b) Join by Mail

    c) Simply come to our next meeting, enjoy a free "new member meal," entertainment, and join in person. Guests are always welcome.

    d) Of course if you're already a member of one Sons of Norway Lodge, you can inexpensively become an affiliate of another Lodge. Click here for the "Application for Affiliate Membership."

Also,-children 15 years of age or under, who have a parent or grandparent who is a Sons of Norway member, may sign up for a free Heritage Membership and receive the fun Viking for Kids! Fill out the Heritage Membership form and mail it in to become a Heritage member.

Edmonds Lodge-retains a membership with the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle for our members' free use.
