   Sons of Norway assists year round with the Ski for Light Puget Sound chapter.

Our newest sponsorship

-   Mukilteo Little League has been providing baseball and softball opportunities to the kids in Mukilteo since 1957. Our Minors Team Sponsorship is for Baseball and Softball for boys and girls ages 9-11. They play 16 games this 2009 season (starting on April 16th) in the Mukilteo/Everett area. There were 4 distributions. We averaged a whopping 260 families per week. There is no end in sight. During the fi rst week of November, 25 new families signed up, bring our total households for that week to 313 families.

November is always our biggest month. Last year we provided Thanksgiving baskets to 206 families. This year will certainly exceed the prior year.

Tubfrim

   There are many ways in which we are asked to assist our fellow human beings who are in need. Participation in the Tubfrim program is one of the more simple yet successful ways to do just that. Tubfrim is an organization in Norway that resells cancelled stamps and originally donated the proceeds to help fight tuberculosis. Now Sons of Norway is proud to support Tubfrim in their work to support children in need.

   To help Tubfrim do its crucial work, simply clip canceled stamps from envelopes, leaving at least a quarter of an inch around the edge. When you have collected a pound of stamps, ask your Tubfrim chairperson or lodge secretary to weigh and verify them. Then place your stamps in a plastic bag and send it in a sturdy box to:
