Rich Gray Red Tree

Rich Gray sent this picture of a beautiful red tree that he took recently.  He saw a number of areas in it that he felt needed improvment.  You can see from the before and after pictures below that he used a number of Elements tools to turm it into a strikeing picture.  The large pole was removed with the Crop Tool and the heavy wire was replaced using the Clone Tool.  The sky was replaced with selection and layer tools and  finally the whole picture's lighting was improved.  Congradulations on a fine job rich

Peggy Ellis Project

Peggy Ellis sent these two pictures to show editing she has done as a result of taking the EYDP class.  She wanted to remove the man at the left to remove an unwanted element anf to better balamce the picture.  She used the Clone Tool to accomplish the edit.  Note how well she reconstructed the bicycle handle and extended the dark horizontal line at the top.  Thank you Peggy for sharing your work.  I hope others will want to come forward with some of their work also.

Terri McIvor Project

Here is an editing job that Terri McIvor, one of our coaches, did.  She wanted to have a single portrait of herself from the cruise picture taken of she and her husband.  She used the Crop Tool to produce the single portrait and the Clone Tool to remove the little part of her husband remaining and other unwanted parts.  Terri told me that she did this just to see if she could.  I think she did a good job.

Rich Gray Edits

Rich Gray sent me these 2 photo sets showing the work he did to reclaim 2 old photos that had been badly creased and bent.  He restored them using the Cloning Tool and a lot of time.  The original pictures are positioned above the edited results.  I think we can all give Rick a round of applause for work well done.

Rubye's Work

Our coach, Rubye Nelson, e-mailed me this picture where she replaced a section of the background with a solid color to hide personal information.  This is a good example of using selection tools to remove an area and replace it with color.  Well done Rubye.
