Welcome to the website for the coaches and students of the SeniorNet Tampa "Editing Your Digital Photos" and "Editing Your Digital Photos - The Next Step" classes. They are based on the popular photo editing software Adobe Elements and are revised each year to present the latest version. Go to the page Navigation list at the left to see the pages that make up this website. As the site is developed I plan to include tips and instruction videos for you issued by Adobe and examples of your own work. Please keep coming back for the latest information.

 Photo Elements 7.0 Adobe has just announced that Photoshop Elements 7.0 will soon be available. Our classes for the fall, winter and spring 2008 - 2009 school year will be taught using the Elements 6.0 version. The newer version usually comes out around Christmas time but it takes me a while to rewrite the class books for the update so I delay its use until the next school year. I usually have the newer version around the first of the year so I am able to point out any differences between it and previous version. Adobe is marketing version 7.0 as a package with Photoshop.com Plus membership. This is simply 20 gb of storage space for you to use. You can use it to simply store your photos on line or you can use it in conjunction with the picture sharing software that comes with Elements and the Organizer. The cost appears to be around $40 t0 $50 extra. They are also packaging the basic photo editing software with thier video editing software as Premier Elements 7.0. Also available with the membership. You can still buy Elements 7.0 stand alone. It appears that when you do you will get a basic membership of 2 gb for free, but this is unclear to me how this happens.
