Chris
Preimesberger is founder and president of Press On Productions, a sole proprietorship desktop publishing company in Northern California. His current clients include Stanford University, the City of Redwood City, the Redwood City School District, and several smaller businesses.
He specializes in designing, editing and producing Athletic Department media guides (Stanford), handbooks and other publications for the City of Redwood City, and a monthly community news bulletin for citizens of Redwood City. He has experience in producing award-winning marketing materials that include billboards, bus cards, event tickets, business cards and handbills.
Chris is a former editor and reporter for online IT trade publications, including eWEEK.com, DesktopLinux.com and NewsForge.com. He has written for a number of print
and online publications, including the Los Angeles Daily News,
San Jose Mercury News, the Orlando Sentinel,
PlanetIT, Handheld Computing, and
Dotcom.com. In earlier editions, he was managing editor
of Software Development magazine (CMP Media), an editor/columnist at the
Peninsula Times Tribune (Palo Alto, Calif.), and editor-in-chief
of the Cupertino (Calif.) Courier. He has been a sports correspondent
for The Associated Press since 1983 and has served as press box
announcer or statistician for Stanford University football since
that same year (this explains the photo).
Chris counts among his mentors the great Adela Rogers St. Johns and the incomparable, Pulitzer Prize-winning sports columnist, Jim Murray--both of whom are now playing at the next level.
He and his wife, Becky, reside in Redwood City, Calif., and have four children: Ryan, Courtney, Megan and Andrew.
