Using the template provided, create an original PowerPoint game that teaches an objective from your subject/grade level. You must include all components of the template slides: 1. Story 2. Game Directions 3. Game Preparation 4. Game Pieces 5. Game Questions - At least three questions should be a high level application based on Blooms Taxonomy.
6. Objectives 7. Copyright 8. Credit slides. Your game should have a minimum of 10 questions.
(At least 3 must be at the Bloom's Taxonomy Level of at least the
"Application Level" or higher. These high level questions can be used as discussion after your have completed the game questions). If your game does not use questions,
please see me to make sure you are meeting requirements in another
format.
Please
see student examples and the grading rubric to ensure that all
requirements are met or exceeded. Your game must be original and
creative. It cannot be based on another game template or an existing
game (i.e., Monopoly, Jeopardy, etc.). Your game must do more than just review simple arithmetic skills or spelling words.
Your game should contain challenges for students that would require
them to think beyond basic memorization and recall of facts. Most
importantly, your game should be interesting enough to students so that
they will master specific learning objectives during the playing of your game.
Reflection Questions:
1.
In your own words, define what a PowerPoint game is. Write a brief
description of the PowerPoint that you have created. Provide a link to
your PowerPoint game.
2. Play
at least three PowerPoint games. Describe your favorite game (only one). What
makes it better than the other two you played? (You will have tried one
already for the PowerPoint Games Reflection - blog posting).
3. What's your overall reaction to PowerPoint games? Describe how you might use them to help your students learn.
