Edina Salazar's Class

Homework and Classwork Policies

Homework
(HW) is usually given about two or three times a week.  Check the planner for HW assignments. Time spent on homework should not exceed 50 minutes.  All homework assigned is due the following day and is not accepted late for credit.  It is expected that the students complete their homework, but should ask and receive help when needed.  All homework assignments receive credit and are not individually graded, but count for one overall grade at the end of the grading period.

Classwork
is assigned everyday and is due by the end of the class period.  There will be some instances when students will be allowed to take home classwork to finish and turn in the following day (won't be counted as late), and it will be noted in the planner.  Classwork can be turned in late with penalty of 15 points per day.  If assignment is not turned in by end of week, a zero will be recorded in the grade book.

Assignments or projects that are long term are not accepted late.  Parent notices are always sent home to inform you about current projects and the due dates.  Individual projects are allowed to be worked on at home, however group projects are worked on in class with plenty of classtime provided.

Appearance of all assignments will be expected to be neat, legible, and most importantly headed with full name.
